Edie Schaffer is a debut novelist who specializes in historical fiction. Her current project is The Cipher Shift, set during World War II at America’s Bletchley Park, Arlington Hall Station.

In her “past lives,” Edie served as an emergency manager and planner for the City and County of San Francisco and the County of Santa Clara in California. She also practiced law and managed her own legal writing, editing, and research business.
